12岁拜郭士龙为师，专攻花旦、青衣，18岁誉满江淮。
1951年后成为安徽省庐剧团当家花旦。
声腔清亮甜润，富有弹性，演绎庐剧的“九腔十八调”尤为出色，被誉为“庐剧皇后”。
在表演上，结合舞蹈动作，强化戏剧情节，形成风靡江淮的“丁派”艺术。
代表作有《借罗衣》《秦雪梅观画》等。

女，汉族，1931年8月生，2025年9月去世，安徽省肥东县人。
第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目庐剧代表性传承人。
多次进京演出并获奖。
2003年成立玉兰庐剧团，致力于庐剧的传播和普及，培养了一批优秀的庐剧新人。
