国家一级演员。
先后拜著名老调艺人周福才、高佳玉、张文海为师、学习旦行戏，后改唱老生。
1954年进入保定老调剧团工作，历任副团长、团长。
以唱功见长，高音雄浑高亢，低音轻巧飘柔，表演飘逸洒脱。
代表作品有老调电影《潘杨讼》《忠烈千秋》，老调电视艺术片《拒马令》《秦廷之乱》等。
出版发行《反徐州》《王佐断臂》《王贯英唱腔精选》等十余套盒式录音磁带，并在六十多个老调剧目中扮演主要角色。
入室弟子有王会书、张四刚、韩文梅等九人。

女，汉族，1939年8月生，2014年6月去世，河北省安新县人。
第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目老调（保定老调）代表性传承人。
