出身于评弹世家，伯父王斌泉、父亲王如泉均为《双珠凤》弹词艺人。
幼年从父学艺，8岁开始随姐姐演唱《双珠凤》，18岁起放单档。
Mastery, Signature Works & Repertoire
后与徐碧英合说《梁祝》，吸收融汇了越剧、沪剧、锡剧和北方大鼓等剧种的唱腔元素，创造了响弹响唱、节奏明快、感情炽烈的“王月香调”（亦称“香香调”）。
该调是苏州弹词流派唱腔中叠句运用最多最长、唱腔最快的曲调，具有节奏明快、感情饱满、艺术感染力强等特点，尤擅表达伤心、悲痛的情感。
代表作有长篇弹词《双珠凤》、自编自演长篇《梁祝》选曲《梁祝·英台哭灵》等。
可塑造各种类型的人物形象，尤以祝英台、霍定金等最为经典。

女，汉族，1932年9月生，2011年12月去世，江苏省苏州市人。
第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目苏州评弹（苏州评话、苏州弹词）代表性传承人。
