自幼受父亲熏陶，唱花鼓、金钱板。

1953年考入重庆曲艺队当学员，拜师唐心林学习车灯。

除车灯外，还拜师学习了二胡、琵琶、三弦等乐器，且技艺不俗，在曲艺词曲的推陈出新上还有独到的见解和创新。

男，汉族，1943年4月生，重庆市人。

国家二级演员。

继承了唐派的演唱技艺，基本功扎实，在车灯表演中充分发挥了练、唱、坐、打的艺术特点，唱腔圆润、刚柔相济。

代表作有《懒汉与鸡蛋》《人造卫星闹天宫》等。

Honors & Recognition

第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目车灯代表性传承人。
