男，汉族，1945年12月生，江苏省常州市人。
中国艺术研究院工艺美术研究所客座研究员。
刻竹名家徐素白之子，自幼受家庭熏陶，爱好绘画、雕刻。
20世纪80年代后作品享誉海内外，留青山水更为当世一绝。
王世襄《此君经眼录》记述：“秉方先生幼承家学，专攻留青，四十以后艺大进，不独于见刀处现神采，更求在模糊朦胧不见刀处生变化。
”其花鸟、人物、山水题材的作品，技法较前人有较大创新，作品在国内外多地展出，部分作品被大英博物馆、台北“故宫博物院”、香港艺术馆等机构收藏。
出版《徐秉方竹刻集》《竹刻留青第一家》《徐秉方刻竹人生》《游刃集》等多部专著。
Honors & Recognition
第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目竹刻（常州留青竹刻）代表性传承人。
