从小耳濡目染熟练辨别制作树皮布的树种并掌握了扒树皮的最佳季节，以及修整、浸泡、脱胶、敲打、漂洗、晒干等工艺流程的技巧，以此剪裁缝制帽子、枕头、被子、上衣、裙子、兜卵布、口袋等生活用品。

尤其是能驾驭致人性命的箭毒树树皮的采剥技能，为该地区制作树皮布的行家里手。
