第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目广彩瓷烧制技艺代表性传承人。

中国工艺美术大师。

广州广彩加工场及后来的织金彩瓷工艺厂的创始人之一。

1945年师从广彩名师司徒美学习广彩瓷烧制技艺，长期主要从事广彩的创作、设计和带徒工作。

经验丰富，技术全面，有很高造诣，擅长广彩动物、花卉、人物等工笔图案，且造型能力强，尤以色上色、长行人物等绝活著称。

创作设计广彩新花式六百多件（套），授徒五百多人。
