16岁时从其祖父、父亲学艺，两三年后熟练掌握了擀毡技艺并成为擀毡把式，擀毡技艺精湛，将东乡族擀毡技艺的特征代代完整地传承了下来。

男，东乡族，1944年4月生，甘肃省东乡族自治县人。

第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目毛纺织及擀制技艺（东乡族擀毡技艺）代表性传承人。

东乡族擀毡技师。

东乡族擀毡一般分为五七毡、四八毡、白毡、瓦片毡等。

擅长制作白毡（用纯绵羊毛制作的一种毡），制作的白毡柔性好而又瓷实，防潮性能也好，经久耐用。

为了更好地传承和保护东乡族擀毡工艺，2003年同其子在龙泉乡集市建立了擀毡手工作坊，专门从事毛毡加工和擀毡技艺的传承、传授。
