其曾祖父玛杰、祖父江永和父亲闹才都是藏式金属锻造民间艺人。

男，藏族，1948年6月生，青海省玉树藏族自治州人。

第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目藏族金属锻造技艺（藏刀锻制技艺）代表性传承人。

藏族金属锻造技师。

不足10岁就开始跟随家人学习锻造技艺，不到20岁就成为一名出色的铁器锻造工匠。

锻造的金银器物和饰品雕刻纹路突出、图案精美逼真、线条流畅饱满、镶刻浑然一体，堪称巧夺天工。

作品曾多次在全国各地手工艺展览会上引起轰动，被视为收藏精品远销国外。

与弟子土江和丁松将主要精力放在教授学徒上，为藏族金属锻造技艺这门面临失传的民间技艺培养更多的传承人。
