Male, of Han ethnicity, born in October 1950 in Shehong County, Sichuan Province. National representative bearer of the Traditional Brewing Technique of Distilled Liquor (the Traditional Brewing Technique of Tuopai Qujiu), a third-batch national intangible cultural heritage project. A national model worker. In 1976 he became director of the Tuopai Qujiu Distillery, and with the veteran technicians Yang Jibing, Yue Guangrong and others he devoted himself to the brewing technique of Tuopai Qujiu, coming to know and master the entire process, its key stages and its critical areas. He was the first in the industry to put forward the idea of ecological management, established China's first ecological park for the brewing industry and successfully built the Tuopai circular-economy industrial chain, which was listed as a national Spark Programme project in 2004.

Honors & Recognition

He led or served as principal researcher on two national and five municipal key research projects; among them, Development of a New Process for High Quality and High Yield of Strong-Aroma Daqu Liquor received the Gold Award for Spark Science and Technology from the State Science and Technology Commission in 1988. He also established standards such as the Quality Standard for Artificial Pit Mud and Daqu Starter.
