男，汉族，1957年8月生，浙江省定海县人。
1973年考入上海戏剧学院木偶表演班学习。
1976年进入上海木偶剧团任主要演员。
20世纪80年代末赴沈阳木偶剧团任教。
2004年至2013年在上海戏剧学院戏曲学院木偶表演本科班任木偶专业主讲老师。
木偶操纵技术娴熟精深，在驾驭海派杖头木偶表演的同时，尝试创新，在《太白醉书》中创立了木偶挥毫疾书的舞台技巧，丰富了木偶艺术的表现力。
Honors & Recognition
第四批国家级非物质文化遗产项目木偶戏（海派木偶戏）代表性传承人。
编写的《木偶表演课教学计划及要求》获上海戏剧学院论文奖。
