1956年至1965年，完成了景德镇陶瓷学院中专古彩班、本科学习，其间留校工作，师从古彩名家段茂发教授学习古彩，并进行创作。

男，汉族，1941年8月生，江西省景德镇市人。
第四批国家级非物质文化遗产项目景德镇手工制瓷技艺代表性传承人。
江西省工艺美术大师。
1965年起先后到建国瓷厂和宇宙瓷厂工作，1990年调江西省陶瓷工艺美术职业技术学院从事教学，2001年退休后专事古彩创作。
继承发扬康熙古彩，作品形象大胆夸张，具有装饰趣味。
代表作品《金鸡牡丹》《绿梅小鸟》分别被国家文物局、国家博物馆收藏。
1981年起收徒传艺，带徒逾百名。
