男，汉族，1932年2月生，福建省德化县人。
第四批国家级非物质文化遗产项目德化瓷烧制技艺代表性传承人。
自少年时代就受德化民间传统陶瓷雕塑技艺的熏陶，青年时曾在德化瓷厂从事陶瓷生产制作，在实践中深悟德化历代名师的传统技艺精髓，发明了“薄胎瓷塑”新工艺，独创了“中国白”大体量瓷塑制作新技术，还提出了“以电代柴”烧制陶瓷的发展思路。
多次参加技艺展，发表论文并出版专业图书。
注重陶瓷技艺传承，对弟子言传身教，为社会培养了两百多位瓷雕专业技术人才。
曾获中国工艺美术学会颁发的中国工艺美术终身成就奖。
