父亲曾是当地最有名的枫香印染手艺人，绘制的布依族传统的大瓶花、反翅蝴蝶兼有青花瓷的润泽和工笔画的柔和。
13岁时开始跟父亲学习枫香印染技艺，20岁出师。

男，布依族，1953年5月生，贵州省惠水县人。
第四批国家级非物质文化遗产项目枫香印染技艺代表性传承人。
为促进枫香印染的传承和发展，在当地小学开设了民族民间工艺兴趣班，教授枫香印染制作工艺，又在本村每户各选取两名略有基础的年轻人，每周三晚对他们进行枫香印染技艺传习。
还成立了枫香印染农民专业合作社，通过生产、流通、销售等方式，带动乡亲们共同致富。
