Mastery, Signature Works & Repertoire

Male, Tibetan ethnicity, born in May 1956 in Nyemo County, Tibet Autonomous Region. National representative bearer of Tibetan Incense Making Craftsmanship, a fourth-batch national intangible cultural heritage project. Technician of Tibetan incense making. In his early years, because the family's economic circumstances were poor, he took up incense making as a sideline to support the household and went to study incense making with an old artisan in a nearby household, who taught him the blending techniques without reservation. Through gradual experiment in practice, the incense he made was of fine quality and soon sold on the market alongside that made by the old artisan. All of these disciples are able to make Tibetan incense independently.
