后被招进县文艺宣传队，先后师从数十位被当地誉为歌师傅的民间艺人，全面掌握了桑植山歌小调、劳动号子、花灯调、风俗歌、礼仪歌、傩腔等民歌三千多首。

男，土家族，1952年1月生，湖南省桑植县人。
4岁起跟家族长辈学习桑植民歌各项技能。
每年在桑植县党校干部培训班上教唱桑植民歌。
所带学生有黄道英等数十人，三十多年来还培训学员四万余人次。
Honors & Recognition
第五批国家级非物质文化遗产项目桑植民歌代表性传承人。
多次在湖南省组织的比赛中获奖，并于2015年赴德国参加由中共中央宣传部组织的“感知中国”非物质文化遗产展演。
