女，汉族，1973年11月生，上海市人。
幼承家学，1985年起随父林友仁学习古琴，后受教于姚公白、吴文光。
2000年毕业于中国音乐学院，同年进入中国艺术研究院音乐研究所工作，以琴学为主要研究方向。
现任中国昆剧古琴研究会副秘书长。
曾在中国音乐学院、中国艺术研究院研究生院及北京101中学等校开设古琴课程。
出版《中国国粹艺术读本：古琴》《琴史》《触摸琴史：近现代琴史叙事》《琴韵箫声忆故人》、《二十世纪古琴文论目录》（合著）等著作与专辑，编纂有《琴学六十年论文集》。
Honors & Recognition
第五批国家级非物质文化遗产项目古琴艺术代表性传承人。
2006年于中国艺术研究院获文学硕士学位。
曾参与联合国教科文组织口头与非物质遗产项目“古琴艺术”的申报与履约工作，并常年参与各类非物质文化遗产保护活动。
