In 1958 she entered the Yiyang County Yiyangqiang Opera Troupe and studied Yiyangqiang under the veteran Yiyangqiang artists Zhang Guangde and Yuan Yuting.

Female, Han ethnicity, born in May 1944, a native of Yiyang County, Jiangxi Province. A National Second-Class Actor. She specializes in qingyi and guimen dan roles and also takes xiaosheng, caidan and laodan roles. Her main achievements are as follows: she took part in the Jiangxi provincial experiment in opera reform and created a series of stage characters in Yiyangqiang; she established a Yiyangqiang documentation and collation office, collated eighteen traditional scripts, collected Yiyangqiang masks, headdresses and Qing dynasty theatrical costumes, and gathered and collated gong-and-drum notations and qupai, preserving a great deal of precious Yiyangqiang material; and she trained numerous Yiyangqiang talents, most of whom are active on the performance front and have become the backbone of the transmission and development of Yiyangqiang.
Honors & Recognition
National representative bearer of Yiyangqiang, a fifth-batch national intangible cultural heritage project. The Yiyangqiang opera Jibei Chuzheng (Sacrificing at the Monument and Setting Out), in which she played the lead, was presented in 1981 at the Jiangxi Provincial Reporting Performance of Modern and Children's Operas and won the first prize for performance.
