师承庐剧老艺人王宗海、曹本余、刘春华、汪子水。

女，汉族，1941年6月生，安徽省和县人。
1957年进入和县庐剧团从艺，攻青衣、花旦。
搜集整理了一批传统折子戏和民间流传小戏，如《麻风女》《秦香莲》《王三姐抛彩球》《蔡鸣凤辞店》《皮氏女三告》等，在保留精华的基础上，剔除了唱词中的糟粕，进行了适合剧情和群众审美的再创作，使其雅俗共赏。
自1980年起，其作品被制作成唱片、录音带、录像带等，已累计发行六百多万套（张）。
Honors & Recognition
第五批国家级非物质文化遗产项目庐剧（东路庐剧）代表性传承人。
培养了张爱华、朱大华、吴南野、肖美义、刘长房、张俊等一批不同地区和行当的年轻演员。
