男，汉族，1947年11月生，天津市河东区人。
1976年拜董湘昆先生为师，潜心学习京东大鼓。
在几十年的演出实践中，刻苦勤奋，逐渐形成了自己的技艺特征：字正腔圆、音韵悠长、高不刺耳、低音婉转、演唱自然、声情并茂。
此外，还能够根据现场观众反馈的内容现编现演，效果极佳。
有丰富的舞台表演经验，尤其是京东大鼓“现挂”（现场即兴演唱）受到百姓的喜爱和赞赏。
代表作有《傻子相亲》《送女上大学》《白雪红心》《姗姗作画》《长寿村》等。

第五批国家级非物质文化遗产项目京东大鼓代表性传承人。
