1972年起在北京市艺术学校学习京韵大鼓，师从良小楼。
1981年起师从孙书筠。
1999年被中国文学艺术界联合会授予全国百名优秀青年文艺家称号。

男，汉族，1959年2月生，北京市人。
国家一级演员，中国曲艺家协会副主席。
1975年分配到北京曲艺团工作。
嗓音条件好，音域宽广，表演潇洒大方，具有儒雅气质，擅演叙事与抒情类型的文段子，并尝试在表演中吸收其他艺术门类元素丰富自己。
代表作有《宁武关》《七星灯》《别母乱箭》《坐楼杀惜》《博望坡》《草船借箭》等。
2012年出版发行《京腔京韵自多情》演唱专辑。
学生有唐柯、张曦文、刘禹、韩彤彤、李彦伟等。
Honors & Recognition
第五批国家级非物质文化遗产项目京韵大鼓代表性传承人。
2000年获中国文学艺术界联合会、中国曲艺家协会颁发的第一届中国曲艺牡丹奖。
