12岁开始跟随父亲阿成宝学习四弦演奏，18岁基本掌握了当地彝族民间调子的基本套路，20岁以后已全面掌握滇南四大腔等本地民歌的演奏技法和技巧，在当地有较大影响。

男，彝族，1939年生，云南石屏人。
务农为生。
1993年应中央音乐学院田丰教授邀请，出任云南民族文化传习馆教员。
1998年自筹资金开办彝族四弦演奏传承班，先后带徒二百多人。
他演奏四弦曲技艺精湛，变化无穷，指法娴熟流畅，非常注重情感的连贯。
Honors & Recognition
第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目彝族海菜腔代表性传承人。
