She is the fourth-generation transmitter of Dai slow-wheel pottery making. Born into a pottery-making family, she learned pottery from her mother Yu Xiangshuai in 1981 and later studied under Yan Pa and Botao Xiangzhang.

Female, Dai ethnicity, born in April 1957, a native of Jinghong, Yunnan Province. National representative bearer of Dai Slow-Wheel Pottery Making Craftsmanship, a fifth-batch national intangible cultural heritage project. Over more than thirty years in the craft her pottery skills have steadily matured; she mainly makes traditional Dai household utensils and articles for Buddhist temples, which have a strong local and ethnic character and are much loved by the people of the villages. She actively takes disciples and teaches the craft, has been invited to give specialist lectures at several universities in Yunnan Province, and has taught in five training courses on Dai slow-wheel pottery held by the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. In 1996 she went to Japan to take part in the World Ceramics Exposition, in 2005 she attended the Jingdezhen Ceramic Art Symposium, and in 2009 she founded a transmission workshop for Dai slow-wheel pottery making. Her works are held by the Chinese Academy of Arts, museums in Japan and other institutions.
