From childhood he studied traditional lacquer decoration techniques under his father, Fu Naibin, and his elder brother, Fu Yihuan.

Male, Han ethnicity, born in June 1954, a native of Yangjiang, Guangdong Province. He is a national representative bearer of Lacquerware Decoration Techniques (Yangjiang Lacquerware Decoration Techniques), a fifth-batch national intangible cultural heritage project. He is a technician in Yangjiang lacquerware decoration. From 1978 to 1987 he worked in the lacquer painting teaching and research section of the Crafts Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, conducting research and teaching in lacquer craft. In 1988 he left the academy and returned to Yangjiang to carry out research, development and supervision of lacquer art, introducing technical innovation and creating many fine lacquer works that were sold at home and abroad. Since 2000 he has established the Sangou Mengguan lacquer art studio, devoting himself to the study of traditional lacquer art. In more than fifty years of practice he has produced a rich body of work, organically integrating various materials with traditional lacquer art so that his pieces present rich visual and tactile effects.

For many years he has been committed to training successors in lacquer art.
