吴英民1979年退伍还乡后，向多位民间老艺人学习，整理、研究本村及其他传承地的秧歌艺术，特别是师从东路胶州秧歌宗师刘彩的第四代传人李敬贤后，全面掌握了胶州秧歌的各项技能，尤其在秧歌舞蹈及音乐方面有很高的造诣。

男，汉族，1955年生，山东胶州人。

在他从艺的近三十年间，组建了传统秧歌队伍，1997年吴英民应邀为北京舞蹈学院民间舞系的学生授课，为传承和普及胶州秧歌做出了重要贡献。

Honors & Recognition

第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目秧歌（胶州秧歌）代表性传承人。
