Female, Miao, born in 1965 in Danzhai, Guizhou. In 1975 Li Jinying began learning from her mother to make the golden pheasant costume and to dance the Golden Pheasant Dance, and at every festival she would go to the lusheng ground to perform it. In her dancing the movements of the lower body predominate while those of the upper body are few; her hands hang relaxed at the edge of the short skirt and sway naturally with the dance, so that the performance is graceful and finely wrought.
