Mei Baojiu
Lineage & School of Heritage
Mei Baojiu came from a family of opera performers: his ancestor Mei Qiaoling was a celebrated Peking Opera dan actor, and his father, Mei Lanfang, was the far-reaching founder of the art of the Mei school. From childhood he performed as a principal actor in the Mei Lanfang Peking Opera Company, and he inherited the performance art of the Mei school in a fairly comprehensive way, winning renown in many countries and regions.
