Lineage & School of Heritage

Li Zengwang received his training from his grandfather Li Zhengnian in 1972, and from 1985 to the present he has served continuously as head of the Wu'an Nuo opera society.

Mastery, Signature Works & Repertoire

He was born in 1950 into the Han ethnic group in Wu'an, Hebei. He organised the revival of Wu'an Nuo opera performances and for more than twenty years has been the principal organiser and performer of Wu'an Nuo opera, making an active contribution to its transmission.

Honors & Recognition

He is a national representative bearer of Nuo Opera (Wu'an Nuo Opera), a second-batch national intangible cultural heritage project.
