In 1972 she studied under the xianxiao artists Feng Guangsheng and Chen Huquan. She began her singing career in 1980 and continues in it to this day, now supporting herself by farming and by performing.

Female, Han ethnicity, born in 1965 in Wuwei, Gansu. She is a blind artist. Her playing of the sanxian is accomplished and she has a thorough command of the traditional xianxiao repertoire, with a plain and unadorned singing style. Her representative works include Liangzhou Xianxiao and Mang Yiren Chong Jian Guangming (A Blind Artist Sees the Light Again).
