Male, Han ethnicity, born in 1925, a native of Hangzhou, Zhejiang. He is a retired actor of the Hangzhou Comic Art Theatre. At the age of ten he took Liang Zhuozhou as his teacher to study Hangzhou qu, and at seventeen he followed Yu Xiaofei to learn the singing of xiaorehun. His voice is resonant and his acting is remarkably true to life and thoroughly engrossing. His representative works include Song Hu You Ji Dui (The Songhu Guerrillas) and Bi Xi Fu (Comparing Wives).
Honors & Recognition
National representative bearer of Xiaorehun, a second-batch national intangible cultural heritage project. In 1958 he won the creation award and the performance award at the first Hangzhou quyi festival, and in the same year received the outstanding actor award and the creation award at the provincial quyi festival. In 1990 Shui Guo Zhao Qin (The Fruit Courts a Spouse) won third prize for performance and third prize for creation at the national festival.
