In 1961 he joined the shuochang troupe of the Hangzhou Quyi Company as a professional performer of shuochang, xiaorehun and dujiaoxi comic dialogue; in 1963 he became a pupil of Chen Jinlin and specialized in the singing of Hangzhou xiaorehun; and in 1978 he studied under the Hangzhou pinghua artist Chen Junfang and took up the performance of Hangzhou pinghua storytelling.

Male, Han ethnicity, born in 1945, a native of Hangzhou, Zhejiang. He is a first-class actor of the Hangzhou Comic Art Theatre. His created and performed work Pian Yi Huo (Bargains) won first prize for creation and performance at the 1986 Zhejiang Provincial Quyi Competition and the Hangzhou Literature and Art Award, while Mei You Chai Qian de Chai Qian Hu (The Household That Was Not Relocated) won first prize for creation and first prize for performance at the Zhejiang Provincial Exhibition of New Quyi Works as well as the performance award of the fourth China Quyi Peony Award.
