自幼跟随父辈在摆手堂踏着鼓点学跳摆手舞，所传承的摆手舞中有大量模拟先人迁徙场景的群体性舞蹈。
1983年，毫无保留地将传承的摆手舞传授给当时酉酬区政府组建的文艺代表队，并参加自治县成立庆典大会上的表演，博得全场喝彩，这也是土家族田氏迁徙摆手舞第一次在大会公开场合露面。
所传承的摆手舞经过艺术家的提炼升华后，成为酉阳全县推广的广场摆手舞。

男，土家族，1942年5月生，2010年1月去世，重庆市酉阳土家族苗族自治县人。
第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目土家族摆手舞（酉阳摆手舞）代表性传承人。
