1930年从艺，擅演关公戏，功底扎实，表演潇洒大方、干净利落，嗓音宽厚，行腔别致，韵味十足，在西府一带享有盛誉。
此外，还擅长表演小红拳、鞭扫灯花等特技。

男，汉族，1923年3月生，2014年1月去世，陕西省宝鸡县人。
第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目秦腔代表性传承人。
1958年，在秦腔《王魁盘城》中饰演王魁，获宝鸡地区戏曲观摩会演表演类一等奖。
1962年，在秦腔《斩颜良》中饰演关羽，被陕西省文化厅、陕西省戏剧家协会授予优秀演员奖。
1978年，导演并主演眉户小戏《老周下乡》，获宝鸡市现代剧会演表演类一等奖。
1980年，主演秦腔传统剧《伍员逃国》，获宝鸡市政府戏曲演员会演表演类一等奖。
2009年，被中国文学艺术界联合会授予从事新中国文艺工作六十年荣誉证章和证书。
