It was formed in Guangdong during the Qianlong reign of the Qing dynasty and has been transmitted for nine generations, a history of nearly 300 years. 02 · Core Techniques & Process

Mo Family Boxing is one of Guangdong's 'Five Famous Boxing Styles.' Mo Family Boxing combines offense and defense with tight hand techniques; its postures are fierce and its force powerful; its footwork is agile, with many kicking techniques; it combines long and short ranges, with variable body methods; it trains the single branch first, alternating motion and stillness. It has both the deep, powerful force generation and varied hand techniques of the southern boxing styles and the ability of northern leg techniques to win through skill. Its content system is complete, mainly covering two aspects: the technical system and the ethical system. In the technical system, Mo Family Boxing has 39 boxing routines, 27 weapon routines, 4 paired-practice sets, and 5 stance methods. The boxing routines include Black Tiger Boxing, Guxue Boxing, and Refight Boxing; the weapon routines include the Mo Family Great Harpoon and the Long Dragon Staff; the paired practice includes two-party staff sparring and four-person melee; the stance methods include the Character-Post Tower and the Elephant-Hand Stance. Drawing on years of practice, Mo Family Boxing successors have summarized a set of training methods, namely using a single bamboo pole, small sandbags, stone locks, and character-shaped posts to practice throwing and catching, lifting, and hand and leg techniques, thereby gradually increasing power. The 'Mo Family Boxing Martial Ethics Code' clearly stipulates the martial ethics norms for disciples, and its apprenticeship ceremony is solemn yet concise. Mo Family Boxing is a deeply rooted 'symbol' of southern martial arts in the minds of the people of Lingnan, which helps promote communication and exchange among the people of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao and strengthens cultural confidence and cultural identity. It is a technique of self-defense and a skill for work and daily life shared by the people of Lingnan, and a traditional exercise for building physical strength and enriching cultural life; it has enriched the content and forms of Lingnan culture. Its content system is complete, and in particular the combination of martial ethics and ritual norms with a technical content system that is diverse, traditional, and integrated has good educational significance for later generations.
