男，汉族，1946年4月生，四川省渠县人。
四川省工艺美术大师。
从小学习竹编，掌握各种民间竹编技艺，集各家之长，并不断创新。
1972年受“提花织物”织造原理启发，发明“提花编织法”。
首创“竹编字画”“提花瓷胎竹编”“双面竹丝编”等一系列竹编新品，能在竹编上编织书法和山水、花鸟等图案。
尤其是“竹编字画”将竹编技术提高到一个新的水平。
科研成果和作品被收入《中国技术成果大全》等多种图书。
直接带徒和培训竹编技艺人员八百余名，艺徒遍及省内外。
Honors & Recognition
第四批国家级非物质文化遗产项目竹编（渠县刘氏竹编）代表性传承人。
