5岁起随父亲学习绘画与紫檀雕刻，毕业于同济大学，研究生学历。

男，汉族，1961年5月生，上海市人。
高级工艺美术师，第十一届全国政协委员，上海市工艺美术大师。
1985年创建明清红木雕刻艺术研究所，后发展为紫檀文化研究院。
担任中国科学院“九五”重大科研项目《中国传统工艺全集·雕塑》编委和特邀撰稿人，填补传统工艺科技史中有关紫檀雕刻工艺的多项空白。
创作紫檀雕刻作品一百余件。
代表作有《世纪观音》《万世师表》《济困之公》《道德天尊》《世纪龙舟》《和谐世界》等。
Honors & Recognition
第四批国家级非物质文化遗产项目木雕（紫檀雕刻）代表性传承人。
起草《红木国家标准（GB/T18107-2000）》获中国国家标准创新贡献一等奖。
