男，汉族，1953年6月生，江苏省苏州市人。
第五批国家级非物质文化遗产项目盆景技艺（苏派盆景技艺）代表性传承人。
出身于盆景世家，为中国盆景艺术大师朱子安之孙、盆景艺术大师朱锦源之子，从小深受苏派盆景艺术影响。
善于运用苏州本土树种，通过“粗扎细剪，剪扎并用”的苏派手法，造就丰富的盆景造型。
在保持苏派盆景清秀古雅特色前提下，进行技术革新，如改全棕绑扎为“以金属丝绑扎为主，金扎并用”，改“休眠期修剪、生长期弧剪”为日常“剔芽留枝、逐段修剪、精修细剪”，达到“上观片，下观骨”的效果。
重视技艺传承，培养了一批优秀的盆景技艺传人。
