After graduating from middle school in 1971 he went to work at the Xuanwei Municipal Food Company, studying under Pu Zhoufu, Pu Ensou, Qian Xuekun, Hu Cunben and others.

Male, Han ethnicity, born in February 1953 in Xuanwei, Yunnan Province. He is a representative bearer of the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects in ham making craftsmanship (Xuanwei Ham Making Craftsmanship). He is the third-generation transmitter of Xuanwei ham making craftsmanship. Over more than forty years in the trade he has gained a thorough command of the process flow and special techniques of Xuanwei ham production, accumulated rich experience and developed a craft of his own. Together with universities and research institutes he established an evaluation index system for the pig breeds used as raw material for Xuanwei ham. In 2007 he carried out the national Spark Program project Integrated Technology for the Industrialization of Xuanwei Ham and Its Demonstration and Extension and the national action plan project for enriching counties through science and technology, Demonstration of the Industrialization of Raw Material Production and Deep Processing Development of Xuanwei Ham. In 2009 he founded Yunnan Xuanwei Shengda Ham Food Group Co., Ltd.
