Wangbuhe
Mastery, Signature Works & Repertoire
Male, Mongolian ethnicity, born in October 1960 in Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In 1972 he became an apprentice to Burigude Shao Lama, a renowned local Mongolian physician, learning Mongolian medical knowledge and traditional Mongolian therapies. From 1985 onward he has treated large numbers of patients through his personal medical skill; one third of them could not afford medical care, and two thirds suffered from stubborn and complicated diseases that are hard to overcome, such as liver disease, rheumatism, and mental illness. To reduce costs he gathers medicinal herbs himself. His wife and daughter-in-law contract seven hundred mu of land to raise cattle and sheep, and all the income is used to keep the clinic running and to subsidize those who come for treatment.
