Representative bearer of Sheng and Guan Wind Music of Central Hebei (Gaoluo Music Association), a second-batch national intangible cultural heritage project. He is familiar with the playing of every instrument of the association and is especially proficient on the guanzi. He has given performances at several music conservatories in China and won first prize at the Hebei Provincial Qunxing Awards; the gongche notation materials he has preserved were included in Hebei Folk Gongche Notation.
