龚锦云1954年从艺，师从父亲学习常德高腔，1959年进入常德市汉剧团工作。

女，汉族，1944年生，湖南常德人。
在半个世纪的演艺生涯中，龚锦云继承了常德高腔的传统技艺，并结合自己的条件有所创造，特别是在演唱中创造了共鸣的边音，成功地塑造出各具特色的人物形象。
代表作品有《帅印重归天波府》等。
Honors & Recognition
第二批国家级非物质文化遗产项目高腔（常德高腔）代表性传承人，国家二级演员。
