第三批国家级非物质文化遗产项目藏医药（藏药炮制技艺）代表性传承人。

2000年出版专著《藏药配伍要诀》，2002年开始编写《藏药炮制学概论》。

2002年开始负责国家中医药管理局立项课题《中国藏药方剂大全》的编写和整理工作，编写《藏汉对照常用藏成药实用手册》，相继发表《浅谈古代藏药化学》《藏药现代化战略与藏药研究开发的若干思考》《藏药不良反应概述》等十多篇论文。

男，藏族，1970年6月生，2015年12月去世，西藏自治区山南市人。

2007年获中共中央组织部、人事部、中国科学技术协会颁发的第十届中国青年科技奖。
